Digital library is a kind of library processing and storing pictures by digital technology, in fact, it is a distributing information system with multimedia. It stores information from different carrier or location by digital technology. It is a large information system spanning areas for network search and spread. In traditional libraries, workers collect/store/reorganize information so that readers could find what they want conveniently, and meanwhile they follow up readers to protect the rights of information providers. For digital library, this is collecting or establishing digital collection which integrates many digital technologies such as digital scan with high distinguishing rate and color rectifying, OCR, info compression and transformation. Transform all the literatures into binary images that can be identified by computers, and consummate authorizing management such as safe guard, visit admission and account, authorized info can be shared globally by Internet. Pattern of digital library is as: an object oriented distributing network pattern in network condition, and it could be run under many kinds of computer systems. A digital library is composed by user port, pretreatment system (regulating system), searching system and object base.
